In Memoriam
by Alice Winn

This book is amongst some of the best I have ever read. Alice Winn has so much to say in her debut novel and leaves the reader with much to think about. She was so purposeful with her sentences that I wanted to underline the entire book. I would say the book is violent, heartbreaking, and somehow romantic at the same time. The tone shifts were crazy because I went from being angry at times, to feeling giddy, to sobbing after chapters. This book is quite literally magic.

Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone
by J.K. Rowling

LOVED it! I can't wait for the second book. We were able to watch the movie when we were done to compare. I thought it was cool that there were so many similarities, but I saw a lot of differences as well.
