2024 Winter Reading Challenge (Ages 0-5)

Kick off the new year with a Winter Reading Challenge! Children ages 0-5 with their adult are invited to join this virtual reading program with chances to win prizes!

Your goal is to read 250 minutes between January 1 to February 29, 2024; that's about 5 minutes a day! You will earn 2 points for every minute you read, plus you can earn up to 500 points for completing special missions. After you sign up, stop by the children's desk to pick up your prize. If you earn 1,000 points by February 29, you will be entered into the grand prize raffle and get another prize.

In Memoriam

This book is amongst some of the best I have ever read. Alice Winn has so much to say in her debut novel and leaves the reader with much to think about. She was so purposeful with her sentences that I wanted to underline the entire book. I would say the book is violent, heartbreaking, and somehow romantic at the same time. The tone shifts were crazy because I went from being angry at times, to feeling giddy, to sobbing after chapters. This book is quite literally magic.
